Travel agents, as the name implies, are here to work for you. When you enlist our services, we are working in your best interests and will do so as ethically as possible. While we have a duty toward our travel partners, we aren’t employed by any specific travel supplier so we have the flexibility to customize your travel package for your specific needs.
Much like you might select a real estate agent based on a specific need, many travel agents have a few specialties that are their area of focus.

Ultimately, yes, we can sell any type of travel just like a real estate agent can sell any type of property, but we want to sell vacations that inspire us.
The reality is unless you are booking directly with a specific travel supplier like a cruise line, resort, or car rental company, you will be booking online with a company that sells multiple types of travel. In essence an online travel agency (OTA). The great benefit to these OTAs is repeatability and ease of booking. If a consumer knows exactly what they want with little to no customization, this might be the way to go.
Online travel agencies don’t specialize, but rather are focused on volume sales and transactions. Service and customization are not a part of their process. Think along the lines of buying a TV on Amazon vs. having your home theatre designed and built by a specialty contractor.
Both have a place in the industry and both can be of benefit to the consumer based on the outlook and need is at the time.
When problems arise, the large customer service departments of the OTAs and even the suppliers themselves have fallen short in both the ability to help and do so in a timely manner.
The lack of personal service by the OTAs has led to a resurgence of the popularity of using traditional travel agencies.
The upfront benefit of using a travel agency is customization and personal attention. Where customer service departments have suffered long wait times, and no personal relationships with travel consumers, travel agents often have personal knowledge of their clients, and wait times are virtually non-existent due to the one-on-one nature of the relationships.
